Free VPN service?

I would like to get a free VPN service for my iOS devices. Basically I want news, general security, streaming pandora in Indonesia and that kind of thing. If I could get news in China that would be a bonus.

I tried this list of supposedly free providers.

I get how to set it up in my device but none seem to work.

Any suggestions?

I got it set up but it doesn't seem fast (but now it may not be a great time to try it...)

In the meantime I found one called Onavo Protect. It's on the app store. I am not saying it's better.
What have you found? Does yours work in China?
