Frequent blackscreens NEED HELP

Hi, i just build my first gaming pc and i'm having some trouble with it... every now and then when i play games like CS:GO or Dota 2, my pc will randomly go black screen and the fan will start spinning full speed. Can't even get the screen to on let alone stop the fan spinning unless i restart the whole computer... Keyboards and mouse are still working when the blackout happens... Need Advice on what to do. Thanks.

Could be gpu overheating. Check if the fan speed suddenly went full speed is your gpu fan or your cpu fan. If gpu fan maybe could be overheating when your run your games. Could also be that your gpu faulty.

Monitor your gpu, cpu temperature with hwmonitor and check see if overheating is an issue.

Fan spin full speed is either faulty gpu or overheating basically. Or you probably go and set your gpu fan speed to maximum with msi afterburner etc.

Don't tell me you bought gpu from an Indian shop.

maybe if u can. reassemble your pc. make sure everything is plug in proper and make sure it doesnt wobble and loose. do a triple check on everything. den boot up again and see.

Hi, i found out that it is the GPU fan that runs full speed when the blackout begins... is it because my system draws too much power that my psu cant keep up thus cannot keep up?

hmm...that means your gpu might be a lemon in 1st place. and beside that gtx 1060 dun need so much of juice. if it takes too much probably its over its tdp and it will stop running.

anyway u can try to see the power reading from bios or download hwinfo to find out.

Try monitor your GPU idle temp and load temp check if it's normal. If not GPU can do exchange or RMA le.

Cannot be 3rd party software as I think you never install any MSI afterburner or other 3rd party software and try to be smart and set fan speed to max right? So don't think this the cause.

hmm...so weird. u mean the 1st pci-e x16 doesn't work well and the 2nd pci-e slots work perfectly fine. and i thought that GTX 1060 needs a minimum of x8 to work? (well in nvidia SLI but not sure if it applies to single gpu.)

yea i went whole day wifout a single crash or blackout when i did the change, perhaps something is wrong with the motherboard ;/?

maybe if u can, find who is the distro (if u remember the stickers on the box), go call them up if u can bring your whole pc down for them to diagnose. and let them check if is it the mobo issues or not.
