Sad case.....this week , a friend passed away.
Only 43 , married with 3 kids.
Got to know that deceased was diagnosed with leaking valve in heart. But refused to go for operation as he worried complications of operation. After sending all kids to school, not long after he just collapsed and passed on.

I read up more about valve leaking. This would lead to cardiac arrest.
had a friend collapsed in front of me last month. 40s had fully blocked arteries. no way of reviving.

Got $ do keyhole ish really better. Open Heart surgery is the most dangerous and promotion opportunity for heart durgeon.

Oh that Ronaldo ts did not mention which is more riskier ... Just saw his father is 81... Thought doctors usually do not recommend such operation for seniors in late seventies or eighties... Then again, everyone' health conditions could be different... Really hard to say.

Sorry to hear. Let me say something
... Not trying to be insensitive...

Many edmwers harboured a lot of hatreds, grudges and angsts against incumbent, females, foreigners, seniors, parents whatever... I hope they will see that if we do not exist tomorrow... All these grudges, angst or hatreds are totally not important...

Go find yourself a girlfriend, wife and make some babies, go through the experience of bitterness and sweetness of life in our short 30,000+ days stay on earth... Don't leave behind any empty pages in our journey...

Some people even asked, what would it be written in our obituaries? I say nothing... Does not matter at all as we are dead. What matters is our experience with our family and some friends...

FB also have alot of disgruntled people who always want to vote out PAP. Their lives would be much better without PAP in power. But i am not so sure about that. They just want to blame bad circumstances on others. Anyone except themselves.

Had my open heart surgery for mitral valve replacement a month ago. Recovering now. Doc said I have 1 year to get it replaced before risk of failure is too high.

Had the valve repaired 11 years ago but because of viral infection and endocarditis in Nov last year, repair was totally damaged.

Listen to the docs advise. If you need to go for surgery, get it done quickly. We have the best surgeons here.
How old were you when you did the valve repair?
The replacement valve was it using those bio type, ie animal or mechanical type, ie carbon?

emotions state of mind affects the body more than u imagine
eg if nervous panic
one starts to breathe heavily, unconsciously and immediately
see the impact?
用精神来治病
negative emotions will kill people slowly
learn to let go

ps wild animals being hunted
will secrete toxins before death

If anyone experience symptoms, better do CT scan for heart . Sometimes ECG can't check much. I myself knew I have mild issue in my valve issue but ECG always showed reading ok. But chest always feel tight whenever i run . Last time during school days, couldn complete 2.4km as chest in tight n breathless. pE teach always forced me to run and my chest felt even tighter. Now I knew the reason why after consulting a cardiologist
RIP. Thanks for sharing. We all have to be careful especially with our heart. We do it also for our family and loved ones.

High risk operation. Very easy to get infected if not careful.
One of my engineering friends in China passed away due to that.

I found a video that is very close to what had happened to my friend.

moi dad got heart value issue which required replacement..thk this issue had been ongoing for yrs..last nov he got heart attack and hospitalized for a wk..during nuh appt,he was advised to have it done..is either open heart surgery or less invasive..open heart is fully subsidized while less invasive cost 30-40k own pocket..plus the serious complications may arise due to his age..very hard to decide do or not to..
According to surgeon the younger for heart valve repair or replacement less risky.

They advice me go heart valve repair but did not proceed and scare pain also need pple take care of you;)

They told me success rate is 95%,once you go to operation depend on luck also can survive will be lucky;)There are old pple in 70s go heart operation no issue;)

open heart definitely riskier and fully subsidized..newer method is 30-40k just for the valve only..sort of throw us a test of whether $$ or dad's health is impt..my dad health score is 2 out of 11 which not eligible for newer method subsidized..doc can push up the score to qualify but if found out,the costs will throw back to us..

Yes that is the reason I did not proceed and also need MC for month:(

Now they have 1 method for old pple less risky.

https://www.heart.org/en/health-top...ent-options/newer-heart-valve-surgery-options

Transcatheter edge-to-edge repair (TEER) for mitral regurgitation

During this minimally invasive procedure, doctors access the mitral valve with a thin tube called a catheter that is guided through a vein in your leg to reach your heart.
