Friend's son got hospitalised

Friend's son got hospitalised ove e weekend. in e days leading up to e hospitalisation, her son vomitted, no appetite, high fever ard 39d, diaherria. e doc did all sort of tests on him. they suspected either viral infection on his kidneys or kidney pblms. but all e tests on viral infections tested negative. fren's son discharged yesterday evening. currently ok so far. he is going back for tests next fri.

i m worried. even though not my son. but wat are ur opinions? kidney pblms? or viral infection??
