grab will pass it to the phv driver and rider

Drivers and riders will then have to calculate whether the compensation from doing grab still makes sense then.

I believe it is detrimental for young ppl to do grab as it doesnt help them develop any valuable skills.

if it under self emply scheme, i think grab dun need to pay, only deduct 20
so all the phy rider are expected to have a 20 percent pay cut.

It is only right that they take responsibility for their own retirement n medical needs, like everyone else.

They will? Did they offer to pay 17% ?
By law no
By law no?? Then what's the Platform Workers Act about?? On paper platform operator needs to pay 17%.. of course we can't argue how they come up with the 17%..

If should, just like for other self employed.
They are not really starting anything new with this.
All self employed are supposed to contribute 37% to their CPF ( as employer and employee). By right they should have been contributing all along. But obviously haven't.
Self-employed insurance agents/grabfood rider/property agents/lawyers/doctors just pay MediSave sua already la, no need OA/SA one! :ROFLMAO:

Means grabfood rider actually ish atas professional jod wor!

Opt in better.. get employer portion.. else lugi.. but many will still choose not to.. maybe they don't need cpf cause stay rental flat very cheap every month??

on paper, the cpf contribution allows them to earn more but dun forget they may subjected to income tax~ some premium car drivers are hitting $10k, their income tax will be hefty~

ya $10k gross income per month is quite alot. but i think after deduction due to FEDA, $4k is taxable.

Hire ft no need cpf ...
indirectly this encourages the platforms to hire their own delivery riders also, come to think of it...cause one month fixed rate CPF but can stack many orders for that fella, work to the bones! bring out the whips!
