Front USB ports always malfunction?

Is it common with desktops? Almost every single build i did have this issue hmm.. front ports always have issues after few months.
Anybody experience same issue?

For me is for every desktop i build, the microphone jack always got problem. First one was fractal core 3000, now is corsair air 240

Not sure leh.. any possibility is the dust buildup?
Some pc i never use and the front ports also sot diao.. back ports forever working though..

I do have this issue and likely is the area we live in. If you live near sea or near factory and likely the USB is oxidization.

High frequency connections like USB require impedance matched cables and connectors to retain signal integrity.

The header pins on the motherboard is crap. The wiring of the case is crap. The soldering at the chassis USB connector is crap.

It will work with reduced reliability. Which shows up with time. Any further drop in signal integrity e.g. rusted connectors means cannot work already.

mine also ... put thumbdrive got short circuit psu shutdown ..... until I dun dare to use

No issue with my 2 Lian Li casing USB ports too.
