Hi all, our ground up initiative has a web portal (meant to serve the community) that will be undergoing a site redesign and we are seeking a frontend web developer to help us code it. However I have no clue where I can find such help. Can the experts here assist to point me in the right direction?

This is not a recommendation, just something I found for you online.

You either look for freelance web developers, or web development businesses/companies/agencies, or simply use off the shelf solution like wordpress, joomla, or even saas solutions like Wix, Weebly, Squarespace etc..

Say if you go with Joomla or Wordpress, you can choose very attractive templates like from

Save you a lot of trouble, time and cost.

Your website is for info only ? Once done, any updates ? If you need to do maintenance in the future, you might need a company to support it rather than freelance ? You need things like payment, link to Google or Sinpass for authentication, etc ? Got link to existing website ?

The website is for now primarily a site that provides info. We will continue to update it over time.

As for maintenance part we do have someone on our small team that can handle that.

Payment no. This is a non profit initiative.

And yes i can provide a link to the existing site

Based on your requirements, the easiest is WordPress. Consider page builders such as Breakdance and Elementor. Cheap and easy to maintain
