I have a vacation coming up in December, so it is perfect for me. Actually I like to have zero FX card options. Right now there is only the Trust card and this debit card.

I will think it is very much comparable to Amaze direct wallet (since both are instarem) - and with rebate. Quite good option for FCY spend with 5% rebate.
Will also use this for school holiday time

There are a lot of cards with near-zero FX
Yes - but without rebate of 5%. If anybody interested and using both, can compare if Amaze + credit card vs FSM one direct FX with 5% rebate.
That will be fair comparison to see if the 5% rebate is true rebate.

Hi I just apply and get approved inside my fsm account a black color card picture appear. Anyone got verify it really give 5% cash rebate for overseas spending? The criteria means must have at least one overseas transaction correct? So it will work like credit card the foreign currency transaction fsm auto-convert and deduct from our fsm cash account (SGD) correct? I no need go and say change SGD to MYR or CNY to let the merchant deduct the MYR or CNY correct?

I seldom use debit card so want to know how it works.

5. To successfully eligible for the Promotion, the Eligible Cardmember has to fulfill these criteria:
a. Must have an activated FSMOne Debit Card;
b. Has spent using the FSMOne Debit Card; and
c. Has made transactions overseas.

Edit: S$10 Welcome* for New Users

Just got the physical card which have different number from virtual card. And the black colour damn ugly was hoping they give me that maroon colour instead becuz when apply online screen don't let me choose unlike GXS got three colours to choose from. Maybe when near expiry 2028 ask FSM send me the new replacement card with maroon colour.

Oooh I go to another webpage saw what you mean. Actually I think fsm count your AUM of CPF+cash+beneficiaries account investment all add together. So my total invested may not cross the tier but as there are returns due to my years of investment it cross the tier. This mean my actual put in monies to fsm is below the tier.

I don't have RM and don't intend to have one since I can DIY myself except those investment instruments that is not offered to retail investors or too big minimum like bond one pop 250k that kind.

SC Journey has FX rebates in Nov/Dec
Thanks for the tip, I just applied for SCB journey card as well. It comes with Priority pass 2 lounge visits :)

So now I have 2 options. I guess my 1st choice will be the FSM card as it 0 fee and 5% cashback and 2nd option will be the Journey card :)

I did a small top up into the FSM account, it was instantaneous! I remember in the past it would take them like few hours after the deposit to be able to see your money in the account.

I also made a test transaction, the OTP is sent to email as well and it is from NIUM same like Instarem. That is really cool, because when you are overseas you may not have roaming enabled on your SIM, so email OTP is a saviour.

It is kinda weird use case ? If you are overseas then why you are still doing online transaction that require OTP? Cos most likely it is just paywave kind stuff not the online transaction kind
