I tried to open an account using MyInfo, and it doesn't provide an option for joint account and it seems to be creating a personal account. I haven't completed the account opening yet.

10. Can i link my CDP Securities Account with my FSMOne Beneficiary or Joint account ?

No. You can only link your “CDP Personal Account to your FSMOne Personal Account” and/or “CDP Corporate Account to your FSMOne Corporate Account”. Other account types (e.g. Joint, Beneficiary) are not accepted.

My intention is to use FSMOne to sell from my joint CDP account. Seems like not doable?

What if I don't link to joint CDP account, just use FSMOne custodian. Do they support joint account at all?

OK. Thanks. However, it is still different from a joint account where both account holders can operate the account.

Anyway, the show stopper for me is the inability to link up joint CDP account. I guess I have to give it a miss...

This should be the more relevant FAQ found on their website: https://secure.fundsupermart.com/fsm/advice-services/faq/1956/

I think it boils down to CDP joint account being a different structure from (hence incompatible with) FSMOne beneficiary account. Most local banks and brokers offer simple joint accounts, I wonder why FSMOne doesn't.

Anyway, I am already used to being discriminated for using joint account. Joint accounts occasionally get different treatment. For example, DBSV cash upfront is available to personal but not joint account, IBKR SG does not support joint account, etc.

I think unlike the U.S. where a lot of stuff are don't jointly. maybe not so much the case locally. maybe only for bank accounts and not the rest.

I'm interested in starting my ETF RSP with FSMOne. However, I'm abit confused about the charges. For example, I want to invest $1000 monthly into ETF RSP and I want to choose 2 ETF to invest in.

Will I be charged $1 or $2? Besides these fees, what other fees are there? I see the clearing fees and stuff. Very confused.

Depends which exchanges' etf you buying.

There are no processing fees until 8 Dec. So, you only need to pay the following exchange-related fees.

NYSE, NASDAQ, BATS
No exchange-related fees for buying. So, essentially no fees at all.

SGX
Trading Fee - 0.0075%
Clearing Fee - 0.0325%
Settlement Instruction Fee - SGD 0.35

HKEX
CCASS Fee - 0.004% (minimum must pay at least HKD 5)
Trading Fee - 0.005%
Stamp Duty - 0.13%
SFC Transaction Levy - 0.0027%

For US ETF, combined fees should be zero, same as last year. Because there are no charges from US exchanges or SEC for buying.

Only when selling, FSM charges a processing fee, plus US exchanges and SEC also charge fees.

HKEX: 2845 - Global X China Electric Vehicle ETF <- I write in to FSM early Jan 2022 and they later put it in
SGX: EVS - NikkoAM-STC CN EV S$ <- then this appear

So now I am caught in between. One got history the other so new IPO and laosai-ing. Anyone if given 2 choose 1 will choose HKEX.2845 or SGX EVS ?
