I wonder if you hold your stock long enough. If say within a year or two will sell already then no need go through CDP route. Just use any broker custodian account to enjoy the low comm fee. That is how now I strategize. Those SGX stock,ETF I will hold super long time I put inside CDP. Those SGX stock,ETF I within a year or two will sell I use broker custodian account. Only disadvantage is tracking become tedious in 2 places I know.

REIT is long term hold.

You are right that tracking can be tedious if you use too many different platforms.

How I classify them is simple. REIT and stock with big market cap like 500 million onwards go inside CDP. Others below 500 million put inside broker custodian account since volatile for such stock and I don't intend to hold long either. The number 500 may change from time to time hehe.

RSP
0.15% min GBP 1 buy
0.15% min GBP 15 sell

the strange thing is that all these ETFs and GBX denominated even though the S&P500 and World ETF there are USD equivalents. It will be far more convenient if the USD equivalents are available as USD can also be used for US equities. I hope the GBX exchange rate in FSMOne is as good as their USD one (which is 0.25%)

FSM RSP is a good initiative but when one is looking for more customised RSP then it fall bad. E.g like all brokers I believe the RSP place order regardless on that particular day is a major market downturn? That is not wrong at all but sometimes we just want a little customisation.

E.g now I doing weekly so called RSP using poems on sgx etf. I set the limit price for them. When I got hold of the pending market downturn I quickly change limit price lower to get more units. I do it just before my official working hours, lunch hours which coincide with SGX trading hours. This is like active investment I know but it is not always every week only for some week out of the many weeks when it is a downturn on SGX STI of say drop 1% in that day

Wow didn't know Poems got auto RSP for SGX ETFs with limit price. I thought RSP is market price. So if above your price that week no DCA?

No they don't have. What I mean is I do it using poems weekly to simulate RSP. E.g Sunday I start to put in limit price orders for coming week and select GTD (good till date) to last up to 90 days if I want.

Fsmone got give 4 dates now I think.
Used to be 12th or 15th? And I realise market always up on that day
Has since change to 22nd and for last few times..market lowest around that date.

To me..the idea of rsp is to be automatic.
I set it up once. Delete app
20 years later open and get a suprise.

If every week go in an set a limit...
Sometimes u get , sometimes u dun.
Aiya..lechek lei.

Just rsp away. Market up or down..my 1k goes in.
The rest of my money I save.
If market drop v bad
I 5k,10k go big into blue chips

But this is no diff from just putting a purchase order each week right?

FSMOne also can do
