can someone translate this to English please? taken from saxo:

Custody fees for Stocks, ETFs/ETCs and bonds

Singapore Citizens, PRs, and Singapore Incorporated Entities are not charged a custody fee for accessing SGX stocks. Aside from SGX stocks, Saxo Markets has implemented a fee structure for the purpose of ensuring a cost structure that reflects the client’s actual usage of the trading platforms.

For accounts with Stocks, ETFs/ETCs or Bond positions, an annual custody fee of 0.12% will apply. The custody fee will be calculated daily using the end of day values and charged on a monthly basis.

It is already in English right? If you want a simplified version, it just means that if you buy stocks listed outside of SGX you will be charged an annual fees of 0.12%...

For example you have $10k worth of IWDA which is on the LSE...You will be charged an annual custody fees of $12 or $1 per month just by holding the stocks with Saxo...

Other than for buying SGX, I don't know why anyone would buy foreign stocks using Saxo...Also this thread is on FSM not Saxo...

Don't know why people still bothered about Saxo? Maybe enjoy giving away money to Saxo...

If you want to buy stocks that is not available on FSM such as those listed on LSE, use IB or SCB...This have been repeated numerous times in this forum...

Decided to drop VT.
Current RSP Plan: VOO, FTEC, SKYY

Thinking of adding ES3 but... The annualised return isnt very good

OGIG volume isn't very high. Not sure if that'll be an issue when you're selling it in the future.

so you are vest in Tech ETF too, what else are you on?

i'm currently on ES3, CFA only.
thinking of adding VT, FTEC and maybe a little OGIG..

i actually like the idea of world Tech than just U.S Tech,,

Would like to be more aggressive. VT Annualized 10 years return is around 7%ish which is good, but I'm looking for something higher.
Would probably add it in the future, 1 or 2 years later, or when I earn more from my full time income or side income.

Hi, just decided to start rsp on VT. Does it automatically debit my sgd cash account and transfer to usd account? Or do I have to manually do the conversion every month before the deduction?

I did my conversion manually, so I can't tell if it will auto convert and deduct...I personally feel it is better to convert yourself and you can edit your RSP amount to utilize every last cent...My RSP amount is different each month...For ES3, I have a fixed amount which I contribute each month plus whatever that was refunded the previous month...For VT, I have a fixed SGD contribution each month and I will use the amount of USD that I got after converting to set the RSP amount for the month...

Thanks. I did consider investing similar funds like IWDA+EIMI via SCB (manual) but decided to really just automate this in FSM such that I only need to revisit once or twice every year to rebalance. That extra bit of allocation due to FX fluctuation I'm ok with that way until next revisit. If need to edit the rsp monthly kinda defeat the purpose of rsping imo.

I only do that so that I can fully utilize every single cent that I can invest as the only thing that is within my control is the amount I can invest in SGD...At the end of the day, you have to decide for yourself on how involved you want to be or a hands off approach... Don't think there is no right or wrong as it is up to individual preference...

For RSPs (it deducts on 8th every month) - so we need to guarantee to have the funds inside on every 8th right?

But say I buy a US ETF on RSP with 100USD/month, I just need to ensure there's 100USD in the account right?

I noticed the 1% or min USD 2.5 fee for US ETF dividend can eat significantly into the suggested VT RSP, especially when investing XXX amount per month. Hence is there a target minimum investment amount that you all are aiming for, so that this fee won't eat too much into the annual dividend returns?

The commission is lower, starting at 1 usd instead of 8.80 usd.

oh okay thanks. So i would have to manually convert then.

Guess i wont see any dividend for the first few years if my sum isn't significant. Not sure if this is good tho.
I was thinking of buying 1 counter which would be VOO, not sure if there are better counters.

For me, I'm more interested in capital gains and dividends for me as an added bonus...
