Finally i can agree with you on 1 thing.Very slow and takes up space on the ground. A lot of sensors are needed.
Hang the robot from the top. Install a web of grids above all the tables. The robot can move along the grids quickly. Can help to chase pigeons also.

Wow, they are really profligate in their spending. Have they ever done a feasibility study to see if this will work in Singapore's hawker settings?
Do they expect the crowd to stand aside and form a straight line and hormat it with their trays on hands when it march past from table to table to clean them, especially during peak crowds?
Little wonder need to increase GST to support these types of white elephant projects that 好看不好吃。
The only way such cleaning robots will be feasible is when they create overhanging conveyor belts to let it move to the desired table to
wipe everytime a table is cleared.
