There are 2 ways to go about this. Pray every day that they forget u & then u are auto discharged when u reach 40 years old. Or remind them that they forgot u & insist u get posted somewhere, so u can clear your ICTs while u are young.
The risk with option 1 is that if they DO NOT forget u, u will be doing your ICT as and "old" man. My friend was forgotten for years until they issued the new uniform & he somehow resurfaced on their radar. At age 36 he had only done 2 ICTs and will most likely have ICT every year till he is 40.
After ORD i disrupted for 2 years for studies. After that my unit called me back immediately. Very on the bola. I defered twice after that, once for exam & once for work. I just finished my 10th ICT last year at the age of 34. Not too bad, still quite "young". But if i had no disrupted & defered, i would have been done when i was 30 years young!
So u decide which u prefer. Going back for ICT, mob, ippt, RT, route march & all that crap when you are in your 20s to 30s, or when u are in your late 30s closing to 40.
