playing Rise of the Tomb Raider at High Settings (1440p) - FPS normally hovers in the 40+ region although there are certain scenes where it dips below 30 for a few seconds, not sure why
Normal bro. Not optimized yet. Some area when you enter lets say a checkpoint, there will be a large frame dip to 30fps or below. Be it whatever graphics setting you set. Worse is if you set texture to Very High.
Very High is far worse for Vram hogger. So just set settings to High, its still very beautiful at high.
Also i found out the game whichever camps of cards you using, it will have the same issues.
interesting, thanks for the insight, appreciate it; another noob query if u don't mind: i've been seeing this new AMD Crimson driver news over the last couple months, but the software on my PC still reflects the (i believe) previous Catalyst Control suite; does it mean I need to do a fresh download for Crimson ?
A tad hesitant when it comes to driver - because I don't want to unintentionally break anything, don't have the patience to fix it if anything goes wrong haha![]()
Yes please download the hotfix drivers. Its meant for tomb raider.
