Hi all,

I just purchased a 1tb wd hdd blue from fuwell 82 bucks. However when I returned home I found that there was a tear on the wrapper. Bringing it back to fuwell the next day, guy said they had to make tear to stick their warranty sticker labelled Fipl.

Is this current practice now? Why isn't receipt sufficient? Fuwell still can be trusted?

Thanks

Since there's a tear... Is the wrapper seal or tape still intact?

If it is, and there's indeed a warranty sticker there, their claim is valid.

If you think logically, tearing a small hole can't even allow them and/or other people to connect the hdd. Nothing to doubt their policy.

Likely yours a blue which comes with "extended 1 year" warranty, it's probably a must to indicate that stock was sold by fuwell which is the distro's reseller for the extended warranty to be valid.

fuwell is one of the longest-running resident in SLS... very reputable. don't think they would do anything silly to jeopardise the warranty of products. :)

It's normal, does not affect the hdd in any way.

It is normal. Cybermind do that too, just that the salesperson ask me first before making a small cut.

The fuwell sticker with the date comes with the Year and Month marked to indicated the stock arrived. This way even you lost the receipt you can still claim warranty.
