Playing mafia 3 with high setting, the temperature reached 80++ within 1 min. Is that normal? Btw, using s340 elite casing.🤔🤔

You should set your fan settings to max, by default will only spin up to 80%

Normal for sg ambience temp with no air cond. Customize your fan curve to go higher see if you can lower the temps.

I have a secondary gaming rig with a Gigabyte 1080 - temps NEVER go above 65c even in AAA gaming, and that's with fan on Auto.

Try taking a side panel off and test again. If temps drop by more than 10c, yiu have bad casing airflow.

+1 for this and i find that s340 elite airflow aint that good as the front is blocked with openings at the sides of the front panel, so temps might not be as good also :s13:

Indeed. My Strix 1080 run at mid 70s. Sometimes peaked at 80 at certain games. That's with 2x 140mm input and 2x 120mm output on the S340 Elite. But it's still manageable.

Despite the temps, still running around 1900mhz boost. So it's still good.

Its normal for S340 to get those temp. Try setting to a higher fan curve for both the GPU and casing fan.

S340 has bad airflow. Spin up your fan’s rpm to a point you cannot take it..

Tbh, S340 and other chassis alike like Phanteks P400 etc, having a blocked front don't really have the best airflow but they are still much better than most other chassis out there. Not the best, but it's very manageable if you can play around with the chassis fans and cpu/gpu fans settings a bit.
