Galaxy A (2017) release information in Singapore:
Hardwarezone Singapore said:
Unlike previous years, where three size options were available, Samsung Singapore has cut down to just two for 2017: the 5.7-inch A7 and the 5.2-inch A5. The 4.7-inch A3 model will not be available in Singapore.
.
.
Both the A5 and A7 will be available on 21st January in three colors: Black Sky, Peach Cloud (pink), and Gold Sand. The A7 will retail for S$648 while the A5 will be S$548.

Even the 2016 A5 and A7 are Dual SIM with dedicated microSD slot. The real changes are the USB C charging port (confirmed) and whether they support Dual SIM active with 4G on first sim and 3G on second sim. If it is not 4G + 3G, then no point to spend money to buy for me personally. The other good thing is they have NFC and hopefully it would work with Samsung Pay and Android Pay as well.

hoping that the phones won't be too heavy though.

and from the look of the phones, their backs seem to be glossy...anyone able to confirm if its glossy or matte feel? if glossy may become fingerprint magnet :(

Samsung glass phones are all glossy, so it's best you put on a cover at least to prevent fingerprint stains.

The only phone with matte glass seems to be the Xperia Z5.
