I want to know also if its suitable for the Samsung Note. Spent quite a lot for my wife's S2. Tried lots of IEM with controltalk, any media is loud & good but when receive phonecall barely hear the callers' voice. In the end got for her Beats Tour w/controltalk only then loud enough. Even the original stock IEM by Samsung for S2 also not loud enough for phone calls. Havent try the one with Note as I'm using SE bluetooth headset.

P/S: Anyone tried using the Note with other IEM w/o mic or controltalk? I tried with my Seinnheiser before for listening to MP3 but when I received calls, caller cannot hear me at all. Meaning once plugged in earpiece w/o mic cannot talk on the phone? I know S2 or even my HTC android phones using other earpiece w/o mic can still talk on the phone by bringing the phone closer to your mouth to talk near the phone mouthpiece/mic. Kindly anyone enlighten me on this cos I am going to buy earphone soon. Thank you in advance.

Speaking of which, are there any wired music remotes that work with the Note? Preferrably a modular one since I use different earphones depending on the situation.

guys, whats the diff between the Nilkin and Rock cases?
I saw the pics both have Matte cases ( black and red) and both have gloss cases ( blue, yellow etc) they look exactly alike, but the Nilkin is $16 but rock is $25.

Anyone knows anything about this?

I've got both and the rock case is of a slightly build quality I would say.

I got the black rock and red nilkin.

However, apart from snap on cases, I still love my nilkin black tpu. I m willing to let go my red nilkin snap on if u r keen.

I looking for a flip case, going to put that into a TPU case, then into a zip loc bag, then a bomb proof bag, maybe an anti ballistic bag for my phone. Anyone got suggestions? I think victor should know which thread I talking about in XDA. :s13:

I'm using Seinnheiser earphones w/o mic

I can confirm that I can use the Note to talk (mouth facing the mic of phone) to another person with it is plugged in earpiece w/o mic

the S4A (or klipsch promedia earphones also can) works well. must download the app to tweak the button settings. one button to answer/end calls, play/pause, next/previous track and volume control. ALL WITH A SINGLE BUTTON! mic works loud and clear

you can try download EQUALIZER from andriod market.
Leave the 60hz at +3 n the rest adjust to +13.
After the setting make sure to on the equlizer. The on button is located at the top right hand corner.

Havent try this yet but my wife downloaded the AJays apps when she was using it and still volume very soft during phonecalls.

Have try your Note with any earpiece? Can the other party hear your voice? Been trying with my Note but the other party cannot hear me at all but I can hear their voices clearly on the earpiece.

I havent try the IEM for Note yet, maybe becos dissappointed with the one that came with S2 that i dont even bother to look at :o

A word of caution for the mfit leather bar case. The fitting is so frigging tight that the standby/power key on the right side and the volume keys on the lft are perpetually pressed. Phone will go into resetting mode.. I ended up cutting the sides (phone is still snugly secured without fear of dropping out). The build quality is good though. I will not recommend this case for the reason explained above.

Kinda agree. Mine is not that bad though. If only they had pre-cut holes for the buttons.
Am quite happy with it actually.

Very strange. Cudnt get mine to work. Just tried it again and even borrowed my fren's Phillips also cannot get it to work. Can hear the caller but not the other way round. Totally muted.

Hope can be fixed via tinkering or via apps. I dread sending in to service centre.
