I think sgp glas.t is better than estoc in terms of scratch proof and clarity .. anything I missed?

Price diff also not much .. sgp glad.t $40, this estoc $30 .. think it is more worth it to just go with sgp glas.t

You've obviously NEVER used the Estoc Plus before. FYI, if there is a scratch, not a deep one, all you need to do is "massage" it a bit and it is back to normal.

There's a reason why a few old-timers here are so very keen on it despite its price. If the glas is really that good, we would have been crazy too.

I used before such protectors on my old camera with a touch screen, and it affected the touch performance, so I am quite reluctant to try the GLAS.

as far as i'm concern, Estoc+ is the best SP i ever used... No scratch, matt feel but with crytal clear viewing property. whatever glass sp do distort the screen due to the air in-between.

Yes, never use estoc plus before, trying to find out what the pluses compared to sgp glass. With sgp glass we will not have scratch in the first place so no need to do massage la.

I have no issues so far with sgp glas.t and note. read somewhere sgp improves the silicon adhesive to eliminate such issues

Need to correct that info, there is no air in between stock screen and sgp glas.t and no distortion la

So far what i can see the pluses of estoc compared to sgp glas.t is the matte feel and no reflection on the screen. Also estoc much thinner than glas.t, for certain cases you cannot use sgp glas.t such as fake sweet armour will not fit with sgp glas.t.

BTW, i am not trying to argue which one is better, as it will boil down to personal preferences, just trying to find out pluses of each sp

It's mostly a personal preference I guess? The old GLAS on the S2 affected the touchscreen sensitivity, which was a very prominent issue even on my friend's Galaxy S2. And the SGP glas is not invulnerable dude, everything gets scratched, the one on my friend's S2 has a few scratches already. The GLAS in the end is still made of tempered glass, stuff like sand WILL scratch it. I am not willing to spend $40 to find out whether the GLAS will affect my screen sensitivity.

Anyway, the reason why most of us like the Estoc is the matte feel that makes swiping on the screen a very good experience, plus the screen is a lot easier to view under sunlight. If none of that is important to you, I guess the GLAS is a better choice for you.

Wow... didn't think all the old-timers will get all up in arms for the Estoc Plus! LOL

No matter how much improvement, there will be a very tiny gap between the surface of the Note and the back end of the glas, it is a very necessary thing. Even if the entire gap is filled with silicon, it is still a gap. Thus, it will affect the touch sensitivity, just to what degree.

Estoc plus is a proven product among the lot of us, so we highly recommend to those who can afford.

That powdery feel makes it so much better to play ga... er... Swype. :D

@ryker, what you like is not our concern. If you think glas is good, go for it. Happy for you.

If you refuse to believe there is a gap between screen and glas, than be it. There will be distortion and flare when you use a glass layer on top. The reason why photographer do not use or invest in very expensive filter like b+w on their lens.
