I've tested on mercury jelly case and other TPU cases, NFC is affected by TPU material.

ThIs material reduces the communication between the module and the reader. Thus producing error at times, or even does not produce a response.

So people making nfc payment pls note that your tpu case might land you in awkward position when making payment..

no issue with my Tech 21 TPU
Then again i dun use it for payment service

Had no problems with various TPU cases with NFC. (use it for audio)

But leather yes, some leather cases somehow seems to interfere.

There is no problem with nfc tags because the technology in which it operates on is different.

Nfc payment readers operates on another technology in which it includes generating an active radio frequency to communicate with the phone. Nfc tags only allow the phone to read, while not writing data in the phone.
