You never know bro, I don't trust the lcd glass, and we also can't pinpoint the exact point of impact, yes with normal SP it won't crack but it might be scratched, also the lcd glass might crack, as normal SP provides Zero impact absorption.
I'd still go with glass SP, at least it's guaranteed impact absorption against normal SP. But of course, if change, if I were him I won't buy SGP again lol! Maybe go for cheap ones

LOL.. are you sure it's heng? if you use a normal sp, maybe nothing would happen when you dropped your phone & you don't need to waste $$ to install another glass sp.. the glass sp cracking doesn't mean your LCD will crack without the glass SP.. my 2 cents...![]()
p2o mobile selling for less then $50 as well, bgt it frn there last week.
Yea my note 2 dropped so many times also, screen nv crack. I dont know why people must buy so expensive screen protectors. I dont even use it and there was no scratches on my note 2 previously. I even took a pen knife and try to scratch it on purpose and there wasnt scratches.
but of course some people damn scared so buy all those glass sp la etc.. den when phone drop and the glass sp crack, they think the glass sp very good lol...
gorilla glass is scratch resistant to a certain degree. Normal usage wont have scratches.
i've also seen many note 2's screen scratched with normal usage.
your note 2 is lucky doesn't always mean all note 2's screen will not be scratched with normal usage.
Up to individual ba. I used s3, note 2 and now note 3. All without screen protectors.
And if i use a penknife to try n scratch aso cant scratch, and you seen normal usage get scratch..i guess their normal usage is not normal lol.. or their note 2 use monkey glass instead of gorilla glass.. haha

Not true.. You google gorilla glass scratch see how many results come up...

I use a penknife also cannot scratch my note 2.
Then i use it naked for a week and found a tiny deep scratch.
Then I went back to SP.
Gorilla is highly resistant to certain materials, but surprisingly weak against others.
Just because it didn't happen to you, doesn't mean it will not happen.
It's up to you to decide whether you want a screen protector or not, but there were too many people with misconceptions over at the discussion thread. Please discuss Protector vs No protector over there.
Here are a couple of misconceptions about Gorilla Glass and it's scratch resistance (source links below).
------------------------------------------------------------
Misconception 1: Gorilla Glass does not scratch???!?!?!?!?!?
Absolutely FALSE. While it's true that Gorilla Glass is scratch resistant to many materials, some will scratch Gorilla Glass. Gorilla Glass is reported to have a hardness of 7 (some say it is as high as 9. I've reached out to Corning for their "official" value, since they only use Vickers to measure hardness) in the Mohs scale, so any material with higher hardness, such as sand, diamond, or other minerals , will scratch your screen.
So, if you drop your phone, and if it happens to land on a grain of sand, it will scratch your Gorilla Glass screen. Or, if a grain a sand goes into your pocket where you keep your phone, then the screen may be scratched.
To those who didn't learn hardness scale in elementary school: materials with lower hardness than 7, such as steel knife, coins, or car keys, will never be able to scratch Gorilla Glass no matter how POINTY and SHARP it is. You can shatter the glass using a steel knife with enough force, but you cannot scratch it.
----------------------------------------------------------------
Misconception 2: The oleophobic coating, not the glass itself, is what's causing the scratches, so use sand paper to grind the coating away!!!!!!!!!
DON'T!. According to Corning's own documents (link below), the anti-brasion/oleophobic coating on the Gorilla Glass actually provides better scratch resistance than "naked" glass surface.
Corning performed an experiment where half of the Gorilla glass was treated with the coating and the other half was naked Gorilla Glass, and they rubbed silicon carbide sand paper on it. You can see the resulting picture on the link below. To use their words, there was a "significant scratching on the non-coated region whereas few visible scratches existed on the coating".
If you already have scratches on your Gorilla Glass screen, then it would've been worse had the coating not been there.
-------------------------------------------------------------
I hope that clears up.

most metal are of lower hardness rating than the glass. hence it will not scratch it. BUT, things like little grains of sand or residue from the ground WILL scratch the gorilla glass, because they tend to be higher than 9H in hardness rating. SO, even SPs will also scratch. Plus gorilla glass or what ever corning glass, all these just means scratch RESISTANT.
