Galaxy S4 : 4.4.2 Kitkat Update

Anyone encounter S4 after installing 4.4.2 kitkat battery seem to drain faster?

Still under monitoring...

Wah... finally got the 4.4 update... now the phone is really flying... the previous 4.3 update was horrible... my phone kept freezing every 5-10 min of usage... had to count to 10 each time to get it to unfreeze... so frustrating... Samsung really screwed up the last update for the S4.

Battery drain is ok... but I don't do much background apps... no email... just Whatsapp and SMS...

And what's the reference to telcos about? How does having different telco affect your battery drain? Don't everything also blame the telco...

Did you reboot the phone after updating? The phone will undergo an app optimization process before rebooting. That may be why your email client doesn't sync.

for email sync, in your notification bar there is a sync short cut. That needs to be on in order to sync email

Thank you Samsung for screwing the email app which requires the short cut to be on in order to sync emails - not a big deal, but thanks for finding a way to drain battery

thank you Samsung and Google for screwing up apps overwriting to sd card. Now I have to go look for other apps to replace colornote, which I have been using for a long time due to it's simplicity and smoothness (compare to the bloody smemo)

to anyone reading this thread - DO NOT UPDATE TO KITKAT

unless you can stand bugs here and there and some brainless changes after getting used to the jellybean experience of slight-not-smooth but efficient filmware

One last irritating thing I noticed - mp3 seem muffled when played using default music player. The volume seems lowered and can't hear any song clearly (claps...) well done
