My S4 Active doesn't have the word "waterproof" beside the earphone jack. Is it normal?

Guess it's fine. Mine doesn't come with "waterproof" but instead has a tiny "Qualcomm" sticker which I removed. Doesn't have the 4G logo at the back cover, as you might find on some of the online pictures as well.

Don't forget to press the case near the camera until it clicks. Most people forget to do this and then water gets in.

I am mainly interested in S4 Active because the LCD screen should be better than S4 for viewing ourdoors, especially in direct sunlight.

But how much better is it? Or phrased differently, how bad is S4 really outside?

Also, is S4 better than S3 outside? (I ask because I know somebody with S3, so I could try it out).

BTW, I also like the physical buttons. But the camera is better on S4, and Active lacks temperature and humidity sensors which could be useful sometimes,

It's really really hard to choose ;-)

individual preferences. I like the fact that it had hard button instead of soft key for "back. Secondly, I find S4 Active more snappier than S4. U can check out hardwarezone review, the reviewer also had the same sentiment.

Also, is S4 better than S3 outside? (I ask because I know somebody with S3, so I could try it out). In terms of specs, definitely.

BTW, I also like the physical buttons. But the camera is better on S4, and Active lacks temperature and humidity sensors which could be useful sometimes. There's no perfect thing in this world, u gain some, u lost some. 8mp is also sufficient enough for everyday point and shoot. If u really need a good quality camera phone, u should be looking at Nokia 808 or the upcoming Lumia 1000 series. For the Temperature and Humidity Sensor, frankly, I never even use once when I was using the S4. So, it's actually not a loss to me.

It's really really hard to choose ;-)

Battery life looks similar to S4 for my usage. But if u were on the screen most of the time, it will lost out to S4 as LCD consume more power than Amoled. Back cover is plastic but tightly sealed.

Note that this battery is new..

Yup, really no regret at all changing from S4 to S4 Active!

Last time use s4, palm will always accidentally touch the back button when typing.. Finally the problem is solve by having physical button..

Same lar. Me watch video will also accidentally press the "soft" back button.. become soft again..

Guess u have to have a test of the Active Camera then decide. To me it's not much differences, maybe slight.

Thanks ... Checking around some shop like Singtel and Samsung shop have not
seen one on live sets to try out.
