Galaxy S4 earphone problem

Anyone faced this issue? My sister Galaxy S4 earphone is not plugged in but the phone dunno why keep on detected as earphone plugged in and hence there is no ring and SMS tones as it constantly keep on at silent mode. I resetted, reinstalled, tried to manually turn to got sound also cannot work.
