Game controller for kids

I am not a gamer so a little unsure about what to buy.

I will set up a HTPC with Bazzite and Steam for TV console play.

I want to buy some collaborative games (overcooked maybe?) so that the kids can play.

I want to get some suitable game controllers. Maybe up to 4 simultaneously. So all family can play.

If I choose wired do I need 4 USB ports free? Can I use a hub?

If I choose wireless then what should I look out for?

I don't want to spend too much because kids will be careless and drop/damage the units.

Appreciate any suggestions on which type/model to buy.

Would still go for wireless Bluetooth controllers
The current Xbox ones are pretty hardy, can tahan abuse

Could there be problems connecting more than one controller to the PC?

My kids both have XBox and PC so went for the HyperX Clutch Gladiate Gamepad.
Its a lot cheaper than the original Xbox controller, has good buttons + joycons as well as 2 force feedback vibrators.
The only downside is that its only available in black. So if you need more than one there may be confusion.

Wired connection shouldn;t be a problem. Both Bluetooth connection might encounter input lag.

This is a nice controller, but a bit outside my price range. The x05 is their budget controller, but it seems that the ultimate 2c and nova lite get better reviews.

Actually you can just use a mouse if u need gyroscope, but if you die die want to use also no problem.

Please note that not all controller with gyroscope means the gyroscope function can be used on pc, it depends on vendor implementation.
