Too bad, I want to try dark souls 2 too. Kinda confirmed fake the moment Asia PSN started the 12 months PS+ promo with free Far Cry 4. Imagine someone picked the free FC4 promo instead of the free 3 more months, then the first month already FC4 is free to every subscriber .

Its fps multiplayer only game, 4v1 (4 hunters vs 1 monster). You can try for a couple of hours or so since its free, pretty sure the population will die out real fast.

It's asymmetrical pvp, 1 player as monster, 4 as monster hunters. Each match, the monster needs to find other animals (or hunters), eat them to evolve into stronger monster. The hunters need to track down the monster, use weapons and traps to kill it.

As you can imagine, it can become repetitive, but the worse is that it amplifies everything that plagues video gaming -- pay-to-win, microtransactions, loot boxes... all are out in full force in the premium price game. It's also a DLC fest -- the game itself has very little contents, everything's cut out from the game to be sold separately; want more maps, more monster types, more hunter classes, weapons etc, pay and pay for more DLCs.

After gamers wised up to the greedy blood-sucking antics, 2K switched the PC version to free-to-play business model. They PS4 ver remains a paid product though (probably cos no one is playing it anyway so they didn't bother, or that PS4 players are suckers who keep paying more money). So Asia PS+ is basically giving you a monthly free game that should be free anyway, and you have to pump a lot more money into it in order to actually play it.
