Hi guys. What parts would you recommend for budget $2000-$2500. Must contain a reference gtx 780 card and a fractal midi r2

For reference design there is only 2 brands iirc for the gtx780. Only palit and asus has it atm and the price gap is kind of huge.

Asus $989
Palit $848

$141 difference.

And we need more info like what would you probably do with this 2.5k rig?

To me yes its between 2 or 3 years. But if you are like me every 1year change things I will just get the palit variant. And most likely the GPU by then can eol or obsolete. So my take is still 2 years change a graphic card.

I guess its up to the individual upgrade cycle. I personally upgrade my GPU only after I'm 2~3 generations behind.
