Gaming - Desktop, AIO or laptop

Hihi

Not sure if this is the correct place to ask. Currently my Asus laptop is reaching EOL. Wanted to check which should i purchase if i plan to use it for gaming, eg Dota2 etc.

Given that I dont need it for travelling, I am inclined to turn to desktop or AIO. Anyone able to share their feedback on AIO as currently i noticed that there are limited models from HP, ASUS or Lenovo.

desktops are almost always better?

AIO has limited upgrades available, but it's aesthetic for its simplicity
