Gaming ITX Build please advice

Hi guys, i want to build a new PC as the current one i have is having problems playing many games... Would like to play PUBG and other newer games on max setting with at least 1080p resolution (if possible 4k at times). PUBG currently takes forever to load and also i transfer alot of files often and my current usb ports seem to be degrading. Looking at ITX as would like to keep the casing on my table and have some space. I have come up with the below specs. Dont need speakers / keyboard / mouse and monitor. Have been away form the hardware scene for sometime and am rusty. Any advice would be appreciated and thank you in advance!

Motherboard – MSI Z390i (ITX) GAMING EDGE AC + i5 9600k - $649
Memory – G. SKILL RIPJAWS V 3000MHZ CL15 (8GBx2pcs) - $188
SSD (Operating System) – SAMSUNG PRO 970 M.2 512GB SSD - $319
HDD (Storage) – TOSHIBA 4TB 7200RPM 2YRS X300 RED - $142
PSU – CORSAIR HX 850 80+ PLATINUM - $235
Casing – FRACTAL DESIGN NANO S BLACK ITX CASE - $115
GFX – MSI RTX 2080 8GB GAMING X TRIO - $1439

As for budget i can dump in around 3k - 4k

Make sure the gpu is able to fit into the case first. You also need a cooler. Ssd 970pro m.2 is nvme? If its nvme you can stick with it. Cause that price should get nvme boot drive

your budget so high just go i7 9700k or 9900k lor, why still go i5?

Will there be a huge difference in performance? Also thinking of heat being generated and if sff would be ok to have i7 or i9 cpu

Get a better psu like superflower silver eco. Also, 600w($99) is enough for ur single card usage, no need for 850w.

Nanso S gpu max length is 315mm. GPU actual length is 327mm. In short, it cant fit. U will need a bigger case.

Well in nano s, your GPU length clearance is roughly FE card length + 30mm thick radiator (incl aio) + 30mm fan. Gap between GPU and fan+rad almost nothing.

As a sweeping remark, dual fan models will better fit this short GPU length case and other fractal c cases. There's at the side panel frame near PCIe slot to help tight fitting GPU get in a little easier though.


PSU – CORSAIR HX 850 80+ PLATINUM - $235
-> You're losing space for potential base mounting for HDD. You want to stick with a 165mm PSU or shorter, hog space too. SFX-L also an option.
GFX – MSI RTX 2080 8GB GAMING X TRIO - $1439
-> less than 1cm gap between atx psu and gpu, how does it breathe? You need a 2 slot card.

Undervolt it and fine tune. Temp should drop.

do note itx will generate more noise and vibration when gpu fans kicks in. also building wise can be challenging even when "clearance" on specs is correct it does not account for your cables routing etc.

last point is if you don't oc, you don't need k, if you do maybe aio is better

Nano s got some soundproofing so should be fine. I am using one btw with all fan slots filled

Mate, i just did up a PC from PC Theme

$4k+

Can change to Ryzen 2700x and will reduce to $3k+
