Hi,

did a check on BF4 system performance test run and fps is 50+ and above. Currently BF4 settings in on Medium, at first i tried to play multiplayer in low and bump up my graphics core clock, fps is always above 70.
When i play bF4, the memory would always be 90% Wondering now if i should change my GPU to GTX970 or change my ram?

Any advice is much appreciated.

Thank you

Bf4.

If you are using your specs as on your profile. Yes 460 may not be able to hold faster fps.

Next bf4 64bit requires more than 4gb ram. If you put in just 4gb. It will have those irritating stutters once in a while. And can gets very irritating during critical moment.

Yes you will need to get a new gpu if you wanna play newer upcoming games etc. But if you intend to keep the gpu. The next best upgrade is your ram.

Im running bf4 with almost 5-6gb ram.

64bit version if running on just 4gb it will keep struggling to free more ram.

Thank you for the quick reply. I have another 2gb of ram that i got it when i was using LGA1366 as a triple channel. But now as i am using dual channel is it advisable to put it in?

The good thing now to try is to run it BF4 on 32bit?

I dont think it will work well on a tripple channel rams on dual channel slot. You can try. See if it helps. If not you gotta get at least an 8gb ram.

No point sticking to 4gb. Cause now most new upcoming titles are 64bit program.

I dun think BF4 supports 32 bit?

For ur ram qn, it can work, but running in single channel mode?

For Intel single channel is better in this case. You only have 1 piece? If there are 2 piece just fill up all the slots

Thanks for the advice. Intend on spending on either GPU or Ram. Likely it is the ram problem right? I kind of think that the ram is making me having the lagness in game. GPU is already damn old too :s13:

Yes using H87 now. Was using a I7930 last time thus i have the 3x2gb ram.

Yes was wondering if i can ocuppy 3 slots in my mobo to make it 6gb for better performance.

The price for a 16gb cost $200+ SGD now :s22:

Would like to Thank All of the members who helped out. Would like to update that the problem is solved by inserting one more stick of ram. :) No stutter anymore
