Looking for laptop recommendation for work & gaming.

Size: 17''
Weight: Not an issue for me
Storage: SSD + HDD
Memory: Need advice
Graphic card: Need advice
Budget: below SGD 3,000
Work: Using microsoft program only
Game: Dota 2, CS: GO
Brand: Either Acer, Asus or MSI

Just want to buy laptop that fit to my usage.
Not looking for any overkill spec.

Just back from walking around Funan.. there's quite a bit of sales there

From your price range, it's probably up to your preference for the brand - MSI / Asus ROG / Acer Predator / Aftershock range of gaming laptops.

They are all within the range and have specs of:

i7 6700HQ
GTX950 (min)

Some are more expensive than others, so you would have to check them out and find a balance of specs vs gimmicky stuffs.

For solid gaming (especially latest games) you'll need one with GTX980m otherwise forget it. Earlier games still can use GTX960m to GTX970m

The question is will you need to play the latest games or are you satisfied with playing yesteryear games?

Investment for near futureproofing is a better choice
