Hi guys!! I am looking for a gaming laptop for around $1500. The games i'll be playing will be Dota2, SIMS, Overcooked. I believe these games doesn't require much specs. Any reccos?

Gtx1650 will be sufficient for 1080p monitor

Go for i5 or ryzen 5 series

Legion 5 AMD will have a big discount on 9 Aug period. I guess is 25% discount, and with luck, you might also get futher 12% rebate from Shopback app on your mobile phone.

I manage to get my Legion 5 Ryzen 7 4800H, 1650ti, 16Gb, 512GB M.2 storage for $1150 on last sales.

Rtx2070? Thats gonna cost an arm and leg leh. At least 2.8k and above.

Gaming laptop cannot last 4-5 years, your hardware might still work but new games' GPU demands will far outstrip your GPU's capability in 2 years' time.

Gaming on laptops is very expensive. Need to buy new laptop with new GPU every 2 years just to keep up with modern AAA titles.

??? Its 10th gen leh.

But is not about buying the most atas gpu and making sure it last till 4-5 years. Gaming laptop dont last that long. By 2 years you get poor performance already. So it is quite bad to pay top dollars on a gaming lappy. And if i were you, a gaming desktop is a better buy with spare change in the pocket and more performance you can get.

Not unless you really need to move around.
