Looking to build a cheap mini system for light gaming (Sins of a Solar Empire, Civilization, etc). An AMD A10 with 32 GB RAM and an SSD should be more than enough?

What do you think?

The way you put it is like mini-itx cannot be used for gaming....:s22:

I can assure you that mini-itx can play games very well.

You got your priorities wrong man... 32GB ram is like >$400 dollars? So it's no longer cheap. In fact I can buy a R9 380 and 8GB of ram with the same money and it will absolutely murder APU in gaming. Then you can get Intel instead of AMD APU and get higher CPU performance for less money.

Don't forget, 32GB = 16GB x 2 in those AIO boards. And not even considering the need for SODIMM yet.

8GB of RAM? And an R9 380 just for Civ? Oh please. :s13:
