I think he means stuff like dpi buttons, LED lights, customizable weights, etc. AKA stuff that you may not even need.

Personally, the G502 is a good and solid mouse.
At $79 - 10/15% discount, really hard to find a better mouse at that price.

Thanks for the reply. Really tempting to buy. Argh.......

I would advise you to have a feel at the mouse at local shop before you order. again at $70-15%, it really hard to get the mouse at this price. :p you don't have much time to think.

FYI, it does not mean that if we use the same settings and hardware as those pros, we will automatically qualify to become a pro like them. Its always 20% hardware, 80% skills... :s22:
No offense, but that list mean nothing if you are not a professional gamer, and if you are a professional gamer, you would not refer to that list as you would have your own preference.

TS ask for recommendations, these are the preferences from the pros, I think at least it holds a little more water than some random guy on the forum right? :s13:

Of course having a feel of the mouse yourself is still the best way of deciding, but when you're behind a monitor with no way of holding and testing the mice yourself....

Ts, sorry for hijacking. Any of you guys can recommend a mouse with the following attributes:

1. At least 2 side buttons. 2 left and 2 right should be great
2. Adjustable dpi
3. Small size like logitech anywhere mx or cmstorm spawn. Prefer claw grip.
4. Programmable buttons
5. Wireless is optional.

I read up some articles regarding the zowie and found out that the side buttons does not work simultaneously. It's either 2 on the left or 2 on the right. Not all 4.

Thanks so much in advance.

Well, according to that spreadsheet we should all use tn panel at 1024x768 to play games.

Regarding the zowie mouse, I understand that there are 2 buttons on each side of the mouse. How does the game recognize the buttons? On my g602, the buttons are all programmable. Not sure if the zowie's are programmable though.

the reason for tn panel is it has less lag, 1024x768 it is easier to focus on what u looking at and it has significant advantage for aiming because stretched.

mouse with both side buttons i can think of currently is mionix and steelseries, whether can work simultaneously is another thing. they have their respective software so maybe google for more info.

if not logitech g300s (assuming still can find), technically not side buttons but all 4 can used at the same time.

G502 sensor isn't bad, but if the buttons are getting in the way then might as well skip it. If not then its good.

For me i think 2 side buttons and a DPI button is more then enough. The side buttons u can use for mic activation. DPI button is always handy, not having to install junk software is always a plus.

Sensor in the mouse is very important.. u give garbage mouse to pros they also will suffer.
Good sensors can detect small movements accurately and is consistent and no jitter.

For a mouse with lousy sensor (I happen to have one), if i move my mouse a little the cross-hair doesn't move, if i move too much it goes over the head. There is no way u can improve if u are being constrained. If u can feel the constrain it's time u upgrade, if not don't bother.

You do realise the mice pros use are usually sponsored right?
If you sort the sheet by teams, most players within the same team usually using the same brand of mice.
For example, Cloud 9 and TSM are sponsored by Logitech and - no surprise, they're using logitech mice/kb.

Also, CS:GO is a FPS game. What about those who play MOBA like LoL & DoTA? Or RTS like Starcraft? Or MMORPG?

^According to SC2 lists, razer must be the best?

I'm not saying that zowie is a bad mouse here, but your analysis here lacks objectivity.

Why did u quote me bro...
I didn't even mention anything about sensors....
