Hi guys,

I need some help inbuilding up my gaming pc.

I have a 42" FHD TV that serves as a monitor that does 1080p (1920x1080 resolutions)

Requirements:
1) play games (bf4 kinda games) with at least 60fps
2) Not going for dual SLI, if a single card can do, im fine with it.
3) able to last for proximately 2-3 years before i make another upgrade not a major overhaul
4) budget approx. 1200-1400
5) need OS win7 64 bit
6) if possible to add in a SSD only for OS booting up purpose.

What kind of recommended specs should i be getting for such a build?
Any recommends that might be over the budget a little more are welcome, but of course if can within i would like:D

I can diy by myself, so installation by them is not a need.

Thank you so much in advance!

Lol same build? If can, try some other combinations to give TS more options to choose from. :D

ar.... Thank you so much! If i could increase my budget slightly higher, should i get a better mobo?

My friend asked me this question. Y go sls, he always go funan buy stuffs?

I only gave him an answer, parts are cheap with even bargains happening, go to other shops you buy their promo systems some things you buy also cannot utilise them well, or even buy till just right but does not perform to what you really expect then want to change another computer in a year or so.

Do you think i am able to get such deals in funan or other shops that are not in sls? Is sls still the prefer choice over cheap systems? Am i right on those statements?

I am considering many different combinations as well. It hard at times and time consuming to think what is the optimal build sometime but more options are definitely better at least. I would love to know more and sometimes i can get very skeptical so i am thinking quite a bit.

My current system is as follow but it has been quite a bit of a hassle as i cant even play games like bf3 on multiplayer at minimum 30fp on low quality at 1920x1080 reso, my current system is as follow:

Corsair 750W gold edition PSU
intel core II duo 2.66 e4750 - i believe that's the mobo.
4gb ddr3 ram
250GB Samsung HDD
samsung odd
gigabyte gtx 550ti

I want to give this to my parent to use so i could get a better system to upgrade. I am also looking to even upgrade my current system and maybe get a still ok pc for them to use. maybe there is a cost reduction but when it comes to whether it is a good time to spend extra money to have better systems? im still analysing these things as well.

If you don't intend to overclock, a B85/H87 mobo is good enough for your usage.

Though I have never been to funan to get com parts before, I think the prices over there are not as competitive as SLS. IMO, to get the best value system out of your budget, SLS is still the right place to go. Alternatively, you can also look at Amazon since they provide free shipping for purchases above USD125. You can consider getting SSD or GPU from there as well.

The answer is no. You wont get diy stuffs discounted over at funan. And extremely limited choice. And the price is expensive.

Do you mind if I recommend you an amd rig? Since now games are coming out more on amd optimizations. Furthermore mantle is coming into games and optmizing amd gpu also. Giving you a slightly advantage. If so, you can choose this option below.

Asus m5a97x + fx8320 ~ $ 370
Gskills ripjaws 1866 mhz 2x4gb ~ $ 115
Wd blue 1tb ~ $ 78
Corsair force ls 120gb ~ $ 141
Gigabyte r9 28x oc 3gb 3x windforce ~ $ 425
Sharkoon t28 ~ $ 87
Superflower hx600 600w 80 + gold efficiency ~ $ 109
Samsung odd ~ $ 21
Windows 7 home premium 64bit ~ $ 115

Still can be overclocked if you throw in another air cooler or aio water cooler between $40-89.
