as my cpu going to uplorry soon.. need to upgrade my pc

cpu: 8400
mobo: ??
gfx: reuse my 970
ram: my old ddr3 usable with the new mobo? if not then recommendations
psu: ??
storage: reuse 1x ssd 3x hdd
cooler: ??
case: ??

don't really have a budget, but of course don't need anything to high end, don't need blingbling, not intending to OC, etc
looking at tradepac as they seem to be the cheapest?

i5 8400 on Coffee lake already,
Coffee Lake mobos all uses DDR4

TradePac is cheapest, but usually they'll require you to buy every single part from them as a full system before they give you the discounted price.

Otherwise, the prices you see on their price list won't be the price you're paying.

Cooler, if you're not going to OC, Stock Fan will do. If you die die want to use a CPU Cooler, either one of these
Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
Cryorig H7
or Noctua NH-D14 if you're feeling rich.

Case, subjective. Some ppl want to get cheap casings, some people want their Tempered Glass Side Panels.
Also depends on whether you getting ATX or mATX Mobos.
You can go for Expensive ones like FRACTAL DESIGN MESHIFY C TG for $149, add in a few front fans.
Or cheap ones like TECWARE NEXUS M MICRO T-GLASS CASE for $59.

And mobo... since you're not overclocking, any B360 mobo will suffice.

all these will work fine.

Lastly rams,
heck it and just get a 8GB 2400MHz value ram.
