Yes but it becomes wired again. Furthermore your teammates will kp during the downtime. Unless you playing sandbox/solo games then sure why not. I'm using wireless controllers for those anyway.

One question, if my current build is r3 2200g, can i just sell off the chip n buy a r5 1600 and a 1070 gpu?
Window 10 installed wont affect?

You can do that, motherboard definitely compatible, but I'm not too sure how it goes with the windows though. Should be able to boot without any changes?

I don't play offline games. Nowsaday dun find joy playing alone anymore lol
I only play Dota 2 (around 3200 hours playtime), PUBG and Battlefield games.

At first I thought you're worry about latency lag ( which is nothing to worry about for current technology)

Actually, in case of G903, it easily lasts 2-3 days of heavy usage ( Weekend, I can play 7-8 hours).
So it's safe to say, if I charge it overnite, I nvr can run out of juice even for 24 hours gaming.

Even if it's out of battery, it takes like 20 mins to fully charge it :/ ( this is my estimation based on experience, I never actually go and measure it) Super fast charge for a mouse.

I owned MadCat Rat7, Steelseries sensei wireless. Those mouse suck, I sold them away after 2-3 days.

When I first bought Logitech G900, I still keep my G503 as backup mouse just in case. After 1 week, I confidentially sold it , still keep some old wired mouse at home ( Steelseries Kinzu v2, Logitech G9), but It's just because I cant sell them to anyone lolz.

Never used MSI mainboard before so cant comment on that. But I prefer Asrock for its look and ... capacitors.

I used to think gaming mouse must be wired since I mostly play FPS games ( owned countless mice in the past, everytime I bought wireless mouse, I go back to wired immediately)

Until I found G900, I just cant go back to wired anymore.

Trying to specifically look for EVGA de . I see will look towards Asrock then though the bios abit .

Maybe I will give wireless mouse a shot once my mouse dies. Any recommendation for mousepad?

If you play Dota, you probably are high sen gamer, so dun really need large mouse pad. I guess your dpi should be 1200-2000 ? Anyways, small mousepad should be enough for Dota player.

Steelseries Dex is one of a kind mousepad, there is no similiar mouse pad in the market right now.

- The size is just nice for Dota
- Surface is honeycomb-like strucutre, which help mouse glide smoother and faster, no friction
- Damn easy to clean. I repeat : it's damn easy to wash and clean.

Dota is my go to game . Current DPI around 2800 on a Goliathus Control Mousepad the smallest version. Is the Steelseries Dex similar to it? I prefer abit of control instead of it being too smooth.

I use 400 dpi for fps and 1200 for Dota. I'd say ur mouse pad is similiar to any cloth pads out there but not Dex. Let me try to explain the uniqueness of Dex:

- Because Dex surface is honey-comb like, so less surface contacting with the mouse than other normal pad -> less friction . As my own experience, mouse glide smoother due to low friction, but it stop exactly where I want it to stop. In case of Dex, smoother does not mean less control.

- Dex is water proof , so it's very easy to clean.

- I use 400 dpi for fps and 1200 dpi for Dota, but you will feel it glide faster than usual due to its surface. I just wish they release bigger size

if you wanna play battlefield 5 or 1 better get i7... even i5 8600k will get bottleneck.. battlefield is really a CPU intense game... for multiplayer.. not single player

Do you think the 2600x/2700x will run Battlefield 5 well? Thinking of buying the game. Current PC on 2600x.

The thing about Ryzen is, it will produce higher 1% low fps, but lower average fps when compared to their Intel counterpart. However, lower average doesn't mean slower. Higher 1% low fps makes the game looks smoother. When the gap between 1% low and the average is very big, the game looks stuttery. That will explain why Ryzen perform smoother with cpu intensive games like Battlefield despite lower average fps vs Intel. Ryzen 5 onward are all multi-threaded, hence a better heavy load worker as long the game can support it and multitasking and multi rendering are all stronger overall. Whereas for Intel i5-8600K is single threaded, it's like Usain Bolt. Very fast IPC and speed, but not the heavy weight champion, hence better average fps overall from its potential to OC 5ghz with a good beefy cooler. You want better fps stability and higher fps overall, pay for Intel i7-8700(K or not) as it comes with multithreading, though I can say Ryzen 7 2700(X or not) isn't trailing far behind the performance of 8700 on high end games. Still lose out to CS:GO type of games where 300fps and up is crucial.

However, competitive fps games like CS:GO and Overwatch, where the higher the fps, the better due to you wanting to catch the glimpse of your enemy ASAP, then Intel is your go to, as Ryzen isn't that good churning 300 fps due to lower single core IPC and frequency.

For Dota, going with Intel or Ryzen is fine. If you exploring high end games at 60-100 fps, Ryzen will do your justice for the better 1% low fps. If you expecting 144 fps and ready to compromise some graphical settings for the said high end games, then Intel is your go to.

Upgraded from i5 4670 4c/4t to 2700x and BF4 Saw immediate gains in performance as the i5 was pegged 100% all cores. 2700x saw usage in 9(!) cores during gameplay with the highest load core at >80% and overall load was around 20%. So AFAIK frostbite is one of the few engines out there that really likes core count.

Yeah shld be able to just change the cpu chip. Just not sure if the window is locked to mobo or cpu?? Hmm

My experience is with motherboard. Just the key is locked.

But is hardware locked to the installed windows? That I didn't test before nor do I have the tools to do so now.

i7 4790k is still a good CPU in 2018 but it will only use DDR3 rams on most 4th gen I7 motherboards... so i guess going for the i7 6700k is the ideal choice for TS?

Thanks to AMD, now they should burn all 4 cores CPU to the ground.

If AMD don't release Ryzen, probably i7 7700k is still considered the king of cpu for gaming.

Wow, thanks for the detailed explanation. Helped me to better understand which I would prefer and why Ryzen isn't such a bad choice after all.

Phew, that means I can play BF5 without any worries .

I will look more into it. Currently not much knowledge on the i7 6th gen and their motherboards.

all other cpu should kneel down before it.

Just think of 5.5Ghz overlocked all 8 cores , I alr reach climax.
