Hi all!

After looking around, I've decided on the following configuration. Will like the pros here to help me see if I'm good to go! :o

CPU+Motherboard: Intel Core i5 4670 + MSI H87-G43 ($397 from Tradepac)
GPU+PSU: MSI GTX760 2GB TF + Seasonic M12II 620W ($499 from Tradepac)
RAM: Kingston 8GB KVR16N11/8 (Re-used)
SSD: Samsung 840 SSD 250GB ($260)
HDD: Hitachi 500GB (Re-used)
Case: Ikonik EN2 (Reused)

Other info:
Games usage will mainly be F1 2012, Sims 3, DiRT 3 and GTA IV. Display is a 720p Samsung TV :o

Will these specs be good to go? Or any recommendation for changes?

Thanks!

Change SSD to Plextor M5S or M5P. Non Pro Samsung series not that good.

The rest seems ok.

All good enough. Just to let u know psu u only need 550w.

For ssd, plextor m5s is more value for money.

Other than that make sure ur ram and hdd are still good.

Get plextor m5s.

You don't need a H board. If can drop to b85m g43. Drop the PSU to 550w.

If you dont mind a 2 year warranty can get the palit gtx760 2gb + fsp 550w raider at $399. A pretty good combo save you $100.

Drop the 4670. 4570 is more than enough for just gaming.

By dropping all this. You can get a very good decent 1080p monitor. A 720p monitor with a gtx760 is pretty much a waste imo.

Thanks! Will be changing to the Plextor instead! Will it be worth paying the extra for the M5P given my usage?

Thanks! I only got the PSU cause its in a bundle :s13:

The RAM and HDD should be okay, I'm still using them now :o

Thanks! Given that I've set aside another budget for a new 1080p display, will it be worth it to spend extra on the initial setup or will it better to cut on the cost?

Thanks! Yeah, 720p is kinda ancient now, we have more pixels on our phones nowadays! :s13:
I'm looking to upgrade to 1080p soon, not just for gaming but for work as well. The 720p pixel density makes it quite difficult to work as well, especially on spreadsheet with lots of data.

People here will tell you to go for the cheaper M5S option, I personally go with the M5P as it has 5-yr warranty and the difference is manageable

Cut cost ba. 4670 is slightly faster by 0.2ghz? B board is sufficient for you. Unless you want to connect raid and sli then probably need a H or Z mobo. Other than that B would be the best bet.

550w PSU would be suffice or the whole rig with gtx760. No problem.

Cut cost is better as the cost that you intend to splurge on don't improve much on performance. And furthermore no much performance boost for games.

Thanks! Guess I'll go for the M5S after all, since the system won't be in use very often :o

Thanks! Will change it to a B85 board and save up since the difference in performance is negligible. :)
