I would like to know if your friend is particular about color schemes :s13:

And do note that if you want the P400s, there will be no side window

And in addition, if you want a DVD drive slot, do consider another casing as it does not have a 5.25 inch bay

rams u are better off getting value ram if u wanna save more, which is 50 per pcs from either kingston or curical.

as for mobo if he dun need to do any add-on like pci devices or CF can consider B150 series to save more money.

edit: forget to as wat is the budget for this build?

Oh. My mistake then. Didn't know about that. He told me he liked the case, and I didn't really check the internal specs.

Yeah, he wants a red/black theme hence the MSI MB and GPU plus the matching RAM.

Any other case suggestions with about the same aesthetic as the P400/P400s or if not price point? Need the DVD drive for windows install but also he does some video editing and needs to burn stuff.

Thanks for the help!

I think TS color matching seeing he chose a MSI Gaming mobo and GPU (along with Phanteks casing which can change to red although no acrylic side panel which makes the above a moot point)

My friend wants a red/black theme build. Hence my choices in the components.
Budget is ~1.5k.

i5-6500 + MSI B150 Gaming M3 @468 (B150 enough already and still is red/black scheme)
2x8GB G-Skill Ripjaws V DDR4-2400 @130 (same as yours)
Zotac 240GB SSD @99 (same as yours)
HGST Deskstar NAS 3TB @178 (I increased capacity since still have budget)
Samsung DVD Drive @ 25 (same as yours)
MSI GTX1060 Gaming 4G @449 (same as yours)
Seasonic M12-II 520W @95 (full modular)
Tecware Alpha @69 (cheap nice casing and allow for DVD drive)

Total 1513

Edit: If you want more bling (aka LED strip at side of mobo) + 2 USB 3.1 Gen 2 ports can top up 10 dollars to get the MSI B150A Gaming Pro mobo instead

for seagate 2tb , you can look at the C shape groove on the top of the steel casing

shallow groove = 3 platter ... higher failure rate

deep groove = 2 platter ... better

there is a side-by-side photo comparison at amazon product page submitted by users

graphic card cheaper at those online site with discount coupon or rebate lazada/qoo10

Can increase budget slightly, get Samsung 850 EVO instead for primary drive.
Hard drive can go for Toshiba 3TB, $139.
Not rly recommended to get WD Blue 2TB, coz it's only 5400RPM.

Can always consider an external DVD drive if he is set on the case.
