Gaming Rig Recommendation

Evening guys~

I would like to get a desktop for gaming. Need help from experts here for recommendation.

Budget: 1k ~ 1.3k

Needs:
Wireless card
Monitor(if within budget and will not affect performance too much)

Do not need:
OS


Doubts:
-Will it be better for me to reuse old monitor so that the budget for the monitor can be used to maximize the performance for the new rig?

-Much difference between Cable and wireless?

-would want the interior of my rig to be red lighted(red fan?)..any suggestion on the case or things to purchase?

-possible to make use of the labour Day promotion on the other thread?

Depends on how big you want your monitor to be and how big/old your current monitor is. Of course getting a better rig for now will be better since you can just upgrade your monitor any other time you want whenever you feel your current monitor isnt up to your expectation anymore.

Wireless is slightly slower and slightly less stable in some cases but then sometimes you dont have a choice. In most case, you probably wont see a big difference, if you can see any difference.

You can always try to bargain down a bit. But dont expect too much since i dont think their profit margin is that high to give a big discount lol.

For wireless card, Im not sure which to recommend but just go down there and ask them to recommend. It shouldnt be over $40 so it'll still be within your budget.

If you are into overclocking, you can swap CPU+MB bundle to i5-3570k + z77 pro3 gen 3 @ $437 ( which will bring the total up to $1282 )

If you want a new monitor, a 23 inch monitor will set you back by around $250 so you probably will need to take out SSD if you want to fit in your budget.

You can also swap out the labour day bundle of GPU + PSU then go with a Sharkoon T28 Red + Seasonic M12ll 620w PSU @ $198 then get another GPU.

You have up to $446 to spend on your GPU + Wireless card ( wireless card should be less than $40) so thats $400ish for your card. You can go for either 7950 or any other cards that you like, like getting a GTX650 or a 7850 if you wanna lower the price or you can add a bit ( like $50 ) to get a GTX670.

The difference in clock speed between 3570 & 3450 has little impact on your gameplay. IMO, it doesn't justify for the $46 top up.
