Do you mind suggesting me two gaming builds for 3k (+/- 300) budget without monitors and peripherals? One for ownself, another for gf. Mainly use for gaming, display is Asus VG248QE.

Both no o/c, preferably both GTX770 (no Palit, preferably with 3 years warranty), i5-4670, SSD 250GB, HDD 1TB, need ODD and OS, ONE GTX 770 SLI ready mobo and PSU.

Thank you! :D

You got to be realistic a bit. GTX770 2 pieces already $1170

MSI B85m G43 + i5-4570 ~ $356
MSI Z87-G45 gaming + i5-4570 ~ $458

2 x Plextor M5S 256gb ~ $518

2 x OS ~ $230

2x Sharkoon T28 ~ $174

Like that already almost $3k.

Still no PSU, No HDD and Ram

Yeah I realized budget a bit too low to get 770. Might lower to 760. Anyway, do you guys recommend getting GPU, SSD and RAM from amazon or newegg during black friday promo? Heard that they offer quite a deal. And by that time Nvidia 'might' lower down the price of GTX cards right? Should I wait till November then?

Yeah agree! :s13:

Anyway, is it recommended to get GPU, SSD and RAM from Amazon since they have free shipping during their Black Friday deals? Seems like SLS a bit ex compared to Amazon.

Is sharkoon t28 a good case? Price seems ok but I was thinking of placing my PC horizontally below the monitor mainly because I'm a bit worried about warping issues on the motherboard, especially with a vertical SLI configuration. Also, is warping an issue for B85 board with GTX770 cause I've read that B85 board usually is thinner due to the lower cost?

Anyway, other than NZXT H230 and Sharkoon T28, are there any other alternatives? Ideally should be thin when laid down horizontally below the monitor, but can fit SLI 770. Will be using stock CPU cooler. Budget $150.

And also I was thinking about replacing the built-in filters with Demciflex filters. Some say it's very good in keeping dust out, but in the expense of lower air intake. So is it worth investing in after market fan filters?

If you are getting tower cases, the dimensions are roughly the same.... the warping wun really happen. Screw the mobo to case tight is enough. USe the 2 screws on the pci expansions instead of 1 and make it tight.

Try getting silverstone FF123-B/W for 120mm and FF143-B/W for 140mm. For the white ver, amazon is selling it very cheap, but you need to make US$125 worth of purchases, or can try how much will they ship them.

Usually those chassis isnt cheap imo. Go to Best Price and cybermind. Outside there have all the silverstone horizontal build chassis. There are chassis that can fit 2 SLI in it.

USD$125 on filters alone or can lump with other components?

The reason I asked about Demciflex is because apparently there is a retailer in Singapore, so maybe can save the hassle of ordering overseas and shipping.

Can google for DemciflexSG, apparently I don't have enough post count to post links...

Can consider Corsair R400, CM storm scout 2

IMO if u clean ur filter regularly the default one that comes with the case will do

Hi guys, would like to seek your help again to build a gaming rig for a friend.

Budget is 1.5k, include peripherals except speakers, windows 8/8.1, and monitor. Is the budget to tight for 1080p gaming? Games he plays include Assassins Creed and maybe some other AAA games.

I've thought about some parts, but really need your help as I'm not very sure about the current pricing... Since it's his budget, have to stick to it. I spent more than what I'd planned to in my own personal rig :s13:

CPU + Mobo - i5-4430 + b85 mobo (any suggestion?)
RAM - 8gb ram (any suggestion?)
GPU - R9 270? (possible to get r9 285?)
PSU + Case - 600w (any suggestion for case? preferably MATX)
Storage - WD Blue 1TB + 240gb intel 530 SSD
Monitor - Any recommendation?

Current speaker using Harmon Kardon soundstick, if it makes any difference.
