Hi, for the money, I would need a full setup, which includes 23" monitor, keyboard, mouse and OS.

I would definitely like to go with the new Haswell processors. GPU wise, I'm leaning towards the GTX 780.

For the PSU, it has to preferably be something with higher wattage as I would be looking at upgrading my GPU possibly 2 years down the road, and I want to make sure that it can be supported.

The objective is to run games like Crysis 3 and Bioshock Infinite at maximum settings on a 1980x1080 resolution.

Thank you for your input :)

CPU & Mobo: i5-4570 & Asrock B85M Pro 4 @ $372

IMO, 7970 is more value for money and should also be able to play your games at high settings on 1080p.

For the 7970, there are plenty of versions out there. Which manufacturer exactly?

Can go for gtx 770 lightning from msi as well at $699. Or the gaming edition from msi as well at $669. Gtx 770 performs slightly better than last gen's gtx 680. De highest performing single gpu solution last gen.

AMd's 7970 is compared to last gen's gtx 670 on the same performance and similarly priced. 7970 is also a "last gen" card compared to the newer 770, 780 and titan.

Thanks for your clarification. One of my main concerns is longevity. I would most likely get another GTX780 in another 2 years' time to run via a SLI configuration as I wouldn't want to replace my entire rig.
