Hi,trying to get build a custom desktop for gaming, but i'm literally as clueless on this as anything, don't even know where to start,as i don't know a thing about the newest graphic cards, how to build a computer at all or anything! Really need someone's anyone's help here as i want to get one as soon as possible to play the new games that comes out, because as much as it pains me i can't play a single new game right now with my laptop and everytime i see a new game i want to play and i can't, man just that feeling... I want a gaming computer that can run games like payday 2 and far cry 3 on high settings. And are there places that you can buy the parts(after deciding on them) AND they build it for you on the spot? :s11:

Yes. U can decide on the parts and buy from that shop and most probably pay the shop another $20 or so to build that rig for u..

If u wanna learn to build a pc, go youtube and search for "newegg: how to build a pc".. 3 parts.. Then maybe u can get a brief idea.. It's like lego.. Not that difficult, nor is it very easy.. ;)

Basic: Choose CPU: Eg: Haswell (4430, 4570 etc..) goes on LGA 1150 motherboards.. Ivy Bridge/Sandy Bridge goes on LGA 1155 motherboards..

U can see the combi on the pricelist in HWZ as they are always offered in bundles of CPU+motherboard..

Then basic RAM is looking for DDR3 4Gb or 8Gb loh.. @ 1333mhz or 1600mhz for general users bah..

HDD: Size is up to u.. For storing files

SDD: For storing applications to launch them much faster. No storing of files there for it's longevity though..

Gfx: Find graphics cards of around at least 2Gb RAM.. Common nowadays are AMD 78** to 79** series while it's GTX 760 (7**) range of gfx onwards for Nvidia..

Other than that, nothing much le.. Maybe a DVD rom for u to install software..

Oh. And Power Supply.. Just match the min that is stated in the graphics card webby recommendations and u will be good to go.. Unless u wanna put more gfx, then u need more power..

I guess that's all.. :s13:
