Gcam for Poco F3

Hi recently discovered Gcam from poco reddit, supposedly can take photo shots. I downloaded and installed the generic MGC 8.7 APK file, question is are there any other additional configuration i need to do, or should I download the APK dedicated for F3? Currently can't see much diff in quality so not sure whether I'm missing something.
