GE2015 Opposition walkabout updates!

Let's keep ourselves updated about what opposition parties are doing now that the boundaries have been announced and we're just waiting for parliament to be dissolved and for PM to call for the election.

I'll try to update this thread to keep track of the opposition parties' movements. Any help would be great!

26 July 2015: SDP conducts walkabout in Bukit Batok SMC. SDP has announced that it will definitely contest there

26 July 2015:

WP walkabout in Marine Parade GRC. WP went door to door, visiting blocks in Marine Terrace.

Simultaneous walkabout by WP in Punggol East SMC where media managed to find LTK and ask him about the GE.

There was also another walkabout by WP in Hougang SMC on the same day.

July 30:

WP conducts walkabouts in Fengshan SMC and East Coast GRC

Simultaneous house visits by Yee Jenn Jong at unannounced location (possibly Marine Parade):

SDP conducts major walkabout in Bukit Panjang SMC and Holland-Bukit Timah GRC at night.

Close to 30 SDP activists and members visited houses last night which fall under Holland-Bukit Timah. (http://m.todayonline.com/singapore/nus-don-paul-tambyah-process-joining-sdp)

Prof Paul Tambyah officially announces that he will stand as a candidate for SDP in the coming GE.

NSP conducts a walkabout in Mountbatten SMC where SPP candidate Jeanette Chong-Aruldoss will be standing. Seems like a three-cornered fight between PAP, NSP and SPP is inevitable.

Noted! Will do so next time. For the previous posts, I was grouping by date. Cuz sometimes the parties do walkabouts on the same day.

July 31:

WP Yee Jenn Jong continues house visits in Marine Parade GRC.

Another great evening of house visits.

A kind resident gave us some muffins which I passed to our appreciative helpers. A resident whom we only just met yesterday even joined along in our visits today, dressed in WP Blue.

Finished the night with my favourite beef Kway Teow at a coffeeshop in the heart of the soon-to-be defunct Joo Chiat SMC which I had visited over 40 times during GE2011. Sure brings back memories of an exhausting campaign then. Looks like it may become an even more exhausting one this time
