SINGAPORE: About 48 per cent of eligible voters have cast their ballots for Singapore's 14th General Election as of noon on Saturday (May 3).

As of 12pm, 1,261,449 Singaporeans have turned up to cast votes at the 1,240 polling stations islandwide, said the Elections Department (ELD).

This is about 48 per cent of the 2,627,026 eligible electors in all contested electoral divisions, ELD added.
