It’s not a matter of heavy weight or light weight but basic courtesy. The helper push the pamphlet into my hands and this mf was standing beside him purposely look away and pretend never see me :(

I know I’m fat, ugly and smelly but no need to treat me like this right? :(

it’s time. To be voted out by Aljunied GRC and never return. :(

WP candidates, residents pose with ‘1000 ton’ toy hammers in Bedok

WP candidates for Aljunied GRC Pritam Singh, Sylvia Lim, Gerald Giam and Kenneth Tiong greeted a spirited breakfast crowd at 630 Bedok Reservoir Road Market and Food Centre on Sunday morning.

They also posed for photos with some residents, a number of them clutching “1000 ton” toy hammers in light blue and other vibrant colours.

A group of residents had spent $800 to buy 200 plastic hammers to give out to people at the hawker centre.

Madam Lee (extreme left), 76, said she has been a WP supporter since she was 21. She bought the hammers to “spread the WP spirit”.

This morning I was at Kovan hawker centre for breakfast and the PAP candidates and their helpers were there. The public response towards the PAP team was very bad, many people including me siam them.

Then later the WP Aljunied team also came to Kovan hawker centre and the public response was much warmer and supportive towards the WP team.

I think the PAP Aljunied team gone case and going to lose big, the public response towards them is so cold.

The WP Aljunied team also had a media doorstop at Kovan hawker centre today.

This kind of ground response is a good indication of the vote %.

Photo opportunities

WP chief Pritam Singh and his fellow Aljunied GRC candidates braved the blazing heat at Serangoon Garden market and food centre this afternoon, and received much fanfare for their efforts.

Residents were almost lining up to take selfies with the WP sec-gen, while some were pushing their kids to pose for pictures with him.

Some people could be heard shouting “All the best!” from the other side of the food centre.

Party chair Ms Sylvia Lim, Mr Gerald Giam and new face Kenneth Tiong were also spotted interacting with residents in the sweltering heat.

Aljunied GRC sure baojiak by WP la.. it is a matter the majority % they receive. Will they retain their vote share of 60%? If WP retains the vote share of 60% or higher, it means the biatch RK sabo case did not have any negative effect to swing voters.

WP rally: ‘If these candidates do not get elected this time, there may be no next time,’ says Sylvia Lim
https://www.straitstimes.com/live-singapore-election-nomination-day-2025

Ms Sylvia Lim, WP chair and candidate in Aljunied GRC, used her speech to pay tribute to the female candidates on the party’s slate at this election.

“In my 20-plus years with WP, I can confidently say that this batch of our candidates, both men and women, is the most promising batch that WP has fielded,” she said.

And she urged voters to not dither about whether to cast their votes for the WP.

She said: “If these candidates do not get elected this time, there may be no next time. The electoral boundaries may change. So there is no time to waste on this. Let us not dither about whether to cast your vote for WP this time or not. If you do not do it this time, you may not have a chance the next time.”

‘Mama Bear is proud’: Sylvia Lim on WP’s female candidates | GE2025

Sylvia Lim shares about the Workers’ Party’s slate of female candidates, saying she felt proud and referring to herself as “Mama Bear”.

The WP party chairwoman was speaking at a rally at Yusof Ishak Secondary School on Monday (April 28).

‘I welcome more responsibility’: WP’s Pritam Singh responds to PM Wong’s comments on opposition representation in Parliament
https://www.straitstimes.com/live-singapore-election-nomination-day-2025

9832d7.jpg

Responding to Prime Minister Lawrence Wong’s comment at Monday’s lunchtime rally that the opposition only wants more seats in Parliament but not more responsibility, WP chief Pritam Singh said: “I welcome him to give us more responsibility. He can have us on committees.”

He added: “If you remember, I believe it was 1959 when the state emblems and flag were being determined. It was an all-party committee in Parliament that contributed to how the Singapore flag would look like. So there’s nothing stopping the Government from reaching out, and we welcome that, because if we want to work in the interests of all Singaporeans, then that is one way to do it.”

Mr Singh also responded to comments by Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office Indranee Rajah, who had said that opposition parties often urge voters to support them and bring voices into Parliament, but rarely acknowledge that such voices are already guaranteed through the 12 Non-Constituency MP seats.

In response, Mr Singh said NCMPs have no voters and no residents that they can solicit feedback from.
“They don’t have an office under a block in the constituency where they have worked at and, essentially, this is where the PAP wants to keep the opposition. They don’t want elected opposition MPs, and I know why, because only an elected opposition can take any pressure and push the Government,” Mr Singh said.

Also present were incumbent WP MP for Hougang Dennis Tan and party chairwoman Sylvia Lim.
Speaking to the media, Mr Tan highlighted issues raised by Hougang residents, including the cost of living, healthcare costs and public transport.

In particular, he said he has received a lot of feedback about bus service 112, which he has conveyed in Parliament.

“There was some improvement in services, but they are insufficient,” he said, adding that if re-elected, he will continue to raise the issue.

Yay Dennis! Bus 112 does seem to come by very sporadically…
