She was pushed in to replace Jo Teo...

Jo Teo pissed off the Marymount residents between GE2015 to GE2020... Hence Marymount was carved out from Bishan TPY GRC, as it was at risk of sinking the GRC.

Jo Teo was shifted over to Jalan Besar back then for GE2020.

The fact that Marymount was not merged back into Bishan TPY only shows that the ruling party is still not confident of winning back this ward by big margin.

Marymount consists of a lot of new projects with new residents whose loyalty to the ruling party is still in doubt.

This is the back story that nobody talks about.

There are a few video clips circulating in the past (but very hard to find now as it got buried) where she got heckled when doing walkabouts, or during MPS with residents. And she handled it very poorly, choosing to run away rather than approach the resident directly to resolve the issue on-hand.

Yes, deviated from subject title, yes... but someone had asked about why Jo Teo went out from Bishan TPY GRC back in GE2020.

Before GE2020, Jo Teo was in charge of the Marymount zone (now the SMC) residents.

The fact that PAP did not merge Marymount SMC back into Bishan TPY GRC for GE2025 - shows that the incumbent MP GSH's contributions - is still in doubt.

Marymount SMC is currently "feeding off" Bishan TPY Town Council for it's administrative/operations/day-to-day aspects.

GSH does nothing but stand behind CHT when it comes to resident's events organized by the PA/Community centres, AFAIK.

GE2025 Interview: I Was So Wrong About PSP's Jeffrey Khoo (Marymount SMC)


When I first heard of Mr Jeffrey Khoo, I practically wrote him off as just another face from the Progress Singapore Party (PSP).

No way he stands a chance against the incumbent PAP candidate, Ms Gan Siow Huang.

But after this interview, I may have changed my mind.
