I feel that WP had a wasted opportunity on this 1 to let Harpreet shine … the Mandarin version is definitely going to be Eileen not Alexis … they should have made it 1 Punggol 1 Tampines, instead of 2 Tampines.
maybe.. harpreet isnt as good as we think he is?

How cum the 6 are not seated equidistant around the roundtable ?

Otelli much closer to cht and large gap from Otelli to lim tean ?

The 4 opposition are clustered and doesn't occupy their fair share of the roundtable ?

Got Simi meaning boh ?
I think that's just where the camera is bah? Could be wrong again though. Haha

I didn’t expect PSP to perform seeing the woman, but she did put up with something decent.

RDU keeps harping on GST which I feel is invalid argument. They push for 9-7%. To me is invalid. No need to do so. LW already gave a good response.
Its very brave of PSP to field young candidate Ms Stephanie Tan. She is a lawyer after all. I think PSP also wants to portray to people they are old man party, that's why they want show they have young one.

They need Stephanie and WCJW to go into parliament first so more young will join, just like Alexis and Eileen

Or maybe this "debate" is just a waste of time? Honestly seeing as how it turns out, I am glad Harpreet did not waste time coming down.

Punggol GRC is 4 person only as compared to Tampies which is 5 person. Tampines GRC candidates still can afford to cover Michael's ground in his absence.

I hope all the opposition paprties withdraw from the chinese debate next Tuesday and issue joint statement that they will Not be attending. No need to waste everyone's time.

Tomayto, Tomahto. As usual, WP do no wrong. Using edmwer's favorite comment. "You can collect your 50 cents now."

wp fan boi often say the PAP shouldn't meddle in other countries' issues or pick sides.

But when the WP put Palestine in their 2025 manifesto, their fan boi pretend didnt see it and diam diam

You can bet there will be a huge fuss if the PAP did the same thing.

Good response? Ravi mentioned about taxing the wealthier and billionaires more, which should definitely be done.

UNHWs who come here to park their wealth and Jack up property prices + increase cost of livings, etc. should definitely be taxed more.
GST tax the wealthy more!
I don’t understand why many still don’t get it. Those earning less $30,000 per year 2% of GST increase will cost them $30,000 x 2% =$600.00 which is given as GST vouchers.

The wealthy who can spend much more will be taxed more! Foreigners who didn’t receive any rebates will also be taxed!

So don’t ask for GST to shift from 9-7%

And don’t ask for GST exemption from essential items because what is essentials is very hard to define and business man will know how to play the game. In the end, no tax revenue is collected and we end up need to find another source of tax.

i do feel that a big chunk of the voters probably wont watch this, and will still vote based on superficial reasons, and the candidates know this, or should know this. lol

Why do we need to save for future generation when current generation already suffering?
Because need to learn from our forefathers. Take hardship in its stride to leave a better future for our successors.

Then ask them go take skillfuture lessons. Pap already state every clear liao.
You told about PAP raising retirement age, now there’s concrete example why need to raise retirement age.

Independents candidate Jeremy already retired at age 36 right? So does PAP retirement policy affects him? No!

This also ensures that the foreign workers here are also contributing in a way.

look like PAP won this..

if we took the suggestion of wp to build less BTO during covid.. more people will not get their flat...
I was shocked at this too until I read the exact section.

To paraphrase our former president. When no chicken eat fish. WP suggestions doesn't mean less units in the market, just less brand new, it would be more like sobf make up the difference.

Even they pay they won’t side with them. The incumbent is their major source of income. Who will offend their cilents..🥹
not true, if PAP's support is declining many of these influencers will slowly start to keep distance from PAP

"There will come a time when eventually the public will say, look, let's try the other side, either because the PAP has declined in quality or the opposition has put up a team which is equal to the PAP and they say, let’s try the other side."

LKY once said the above

I hope this GE the above will happen
Politics maybe abit too beyond me. I'm just voting for estate manager and whomever can help with writing appeal letters.
