It's the final day of hustings and Red Dot United's Nee Soon GRC team is hitting the streets in Yishun in its final push for votes.
Party chief Ravi Philemon told journalists the PAP should account for why it had "removed" its previous MPs for the constituency.
Among the incumbents, only Law Minister K Shanmugam is contesting the GRC this election, leading four new faces.
Mr Derrick Goh, Ms Carrie Tan and Mr Louis Ng are not running this time and Associate Professor Faishal Ibrahim has moved to Marine Parade-Braddell Heights GRC.
Describing Mr Ng as the "most hardworking MP in parliament" based on "statistics", Mr Philemon said: "Everybody should have the right to retire when they want to," but "I think Mr Shanmugam could have convinced him to stay on."
He also questioned Mr Ng’s promise to continue offering his help and support to new MPs, saying: "Why stay on … when you resigned? It doesn’t add up.”
In contrast, he said RDU’s candidate Ms Sharon Lin has been a Nee Soon resident her whole life and hence knows residents' concerns, adding he is also not unknown in the area.

Mr Philemon said he has yet to see Mr Shanmugam on the ground, musing that the law minister must be avoiding RDU on the campaign trail.
However, he said PAP volunteers frequently turned up at areas where RDU was campaigning to give out flyers.
"It’s comical," said Mr Philemon.
"That seems to be the strategy of the PAP — to see where we are on the ground. They have eyes and ears on the ground."
As for RDU, he said the party’s only strategy is hard work.
Mr Philemon recalled a hawker in Chong Pang who whispered "I'm voting for you" to him while PAP volunteers milled nearby, saying such interactions give the team confidence that "the ground is shifting".
Whether they win or lose on May 3, the RDU chief said the party is committed to continue walking the ground and would make an effort to visit every block and every resident before the next GE.
He added: “That's our promise to Nee Soon voters because Nee Soon matters.”
Likening his team to a "David" versus PAP’s "Goliath", Mr Philemon said that while their opponent is "formidable", RDU has always "punched above our weight".
